Day 15 | It doesn't feel like the Easter Hols

We normally love our school holidays. A week or two of just hanging out with Mum and Daddy, being able to stay up later is all really cool.

But at this point we have been off school for three weeks. Yes we do learning each day, but we also have loads of free time. It's easy to get bored, or to just feel like doing nothing.

Mum asked us what we wanted to do for the Easter holidays, did we want it all 'off school' or to work one week and not the other? We decided that as Theo was at his Dad's and Henry was at his Mummy's for the second week of the holidays, we would like to do some learning during week one.

Mum said that was ok, but that it was going to be very laid back as she needs a break too.

ELLA: Yay Joe Wickes is still doing P.E. each day. He did some new exercises today that I didn't full know how to do. It was hard but fun. After P.E. I had a shower to cool down and it was nice to change from my leggings and smelly t-shirt into jeans and a top.

Mum then set us all a challenge to make a rocket from lego. Henry wasn't in a sharing mood, so Theo and I worked together and Henry built his own. I really enjoyed making it and it was fun to build something.

I read some more of my book School for Good and Evil, its a thinking book and it makes me think a lot. My goal is to finish the book by the end of April, I am on Chapter 11 now so I think I will achieve it.

At lunchtime I had some toast, and then Mum, Daddy, Theo and me had an interesting conversation about motorbikes. Mum and Daddy were a little silly at times which made Theo and me laugh.

Mum trying to show my how to fit everything on the page.

This afternoon I tried to do a still life drawing, Mum hasn't set one up before and so she feels it was a little too hard. I managed to draw the plant, but because I made it so big I couldn't fit in the buddha, incense or ting-sha. I know for the next time I do it I need to work on the sizes I make things so that everything fits in.

THEO: Today was a good day. I enjoyed starting with Joe Wickes and am happy he is doing P.E. during what should be the holidays. A bit of me wishes we didn't have to do any learning, but at the same time its boring being stuck inside so much.

I really wish we had a bigger garden, like I do at my Dads, so that we could play football together and have a trampoline. Our garden is really small but we do have a sheep field at the back and it was cool to see some baby lambs.

It was my turn to walk to the shop today with Aaron, I counted 24 rainbows between our house and the shop. Our village seemed really strange as it was so quiet. I'm happy everyone is staying indoors now.

I played a bit of Skyblocks with my best friend from school. Mum keeps forgetting to sort out the daily Zoom meeting with school, so its nice I can chat to him when playing Minecraft.

After lunch I worked on one of Meccano sets it was really hard, and I got very frustrated with some of the small bits. Mum and Aaron helped though and so I managed to get through a few more of the steps. I am hoping to have it finished before I go to my Dads on Friday.

HENRY: We made rockets, they go fast like Sonic. I played the witch on the broom with Sonja outside.
